Bells

The Cathedral bells are a vibrant part of our witness to the city, ringing out at special times of celebration, of mourning and Sunday by Sunday through the year. 

A dedicated band of ringers - including many young people - ensures that we continue to be able to ring the changes. Visitors are always welcome, particularly on the first Thursday of each month, when the emphasis is on 12-bell ringing.

Ringing for Sunday Services:
09:45-10:30 & 17:30-18:30
Practice night: Thursday 19:00 - 21:00
